Demo Benchmark rates, premium tables and fee medians are illustrative placeholders. The production tool would pull live market data weekly. Use the verdict as orientation, not as advice.

Drop your quote. Get the real read.

Your bank just sent you a refix offer. Your insurer just raised your premium. Your KiwiSaver provider sent the annual statement. Are any of them fair? Paste the numbers in, get an instant verdict (Fair, Negotiable, or Suboptimal) with the specific reasons. From Craig Coupland, CFP.

Got a refix offer or a new-purchase quote from your bank? Drop the rate, term, cashback and balance. We'll compare against current illustrative market benchmarks and tell you what to do next.

Put 0 if no cashback

Not regulated advice. Benchmarks shown are illustrative current market averages and change weekly. Your situation, lender criteria and break costs may shift the answer. The verdict is orientation; the real call is a 15-minute conversation.

Got a renewal letter that came in higher? Drop your premium, your cover amount, your age band and whether you smoke. We'll compare against age-banded illustrative typicals and flag the gap.

For income protection enter the monthly benefit. For life cover, the sum insured.

Not regulated advice. Insurance pricing depends on full underwriting (medical, occupation, lifestyle). The verdict here is a quick directional read, not a quote. Health insurance specifically varies too much by provider and cover level to benchmark cleanly; book a call for that.

Annual statement in your inbox? Drop your fund type, your balance, your annual fee % and how long until you access it. We'll check the fee against the NZ median for that fund type, and whether the fund matches your horizon.

Optional, but lets us put a dollar value on the fee gap.
Total fund fees and admin combined.

Not regulated advice. Fee medians are illustrative; production version pulls Sorted Smart Investor weekly. Fund-horizon matching is conventional, not personalised — actual best fit depends on your full financial picture.

How Quote-Fit works

A second-opinion machine, not a sales funnel.

You drop the numbers

No email, no login, no upload. Type or paste the 3-5 numbers that matter for the product you're being quoted on.

We benchmark against NZ market

Per-product reference tables: mortgage rates and cashback ratios by term, insurance premium typicals by age-band, KiwiSaver fee medians by fund type. Pulled and reviewed monthly for production.

You get an instant verdict

Fair, Negotiable, or Suboptimal — with the specific reasons line-by-line. Most people get to the verdict inside 60 seconds.

Then it's your call

If the verdict says you're fine, you walk away knowing it. If it says you can do better, Craig will either renegotiate it or move it. 15-minute call. No pitch.

Common questions

Things people ask before they trust the verdict.

Where do the benchmarks come from?

Illustrative current market rates for mortgages, age-banded insurance premium guidance, and KiwiSaver fee medians by fund type. These figures change frequently. In the production version, the mortgage rate table refreshes against interest.co.nz weekly, the insurance bands are reviewed quarterly against an in-house dataset, and the KiwiSaver fee medians pull from Sorted's Smart Investor data. Demo figures are clearly marked illustrative.

Is this regulated financial advice?

No. Quote-Fit is a structured second-opinion tool that flags whether a quote is in line with the current NZ market. Personalised regulated financial advice comes from Craig Coupland as a Certified Financial Planner under FAP licence FSP 523606.

Do you store my quote?

No. The check runs entirely in your browser. Nothing leaves the page, nothing is logged, nothing is sent to us. If you book a call, you bring the verdict with you.

Why do I still need a CFP for this?

Because a Quote-Fit verdict is the start of a conversation, not the end. Renegotiating a mortgage involves break costs, lender criteria, structure and timing. Restructuring insurance involves underwriting and continuity-of-cover. Switching KiwiSaver involves transition timing and tax. Calculators miss all of that. A 15-minute call doesn't.

What if the verdict says my quote is Suboptimal?

Two paths. You can either take the verdict back to your current bank / insurer / provider and use it as leverage to renegotiate. Or you can book Craig to do the move properly. Both are fine. The point is you have evidence now, not a vibe.

Got a Quote-Fit verdict you want to act on?

Bring it to a 15-minute call with Craig. He'll either tell you the verdict is right and the path forward is clear, or tell you what the calculator missed.
