Free guides for the four decisions that move the most money.
No marketing fluff. No tracking pixel. Four short, opinionated checklists from Craig Coupland (CFP, FSP 105424) for the questions that come up over and over again in our Papamoa office: buying the first home, refixing the mortgage, picking the right KiwiSaver fund, and figuring out how much cover the household actually needs.
First Home Buyers Checklist
The 47-line checklist Craig runs every FHB client through. Pre-approval prep, deposit composition, KiwiSaver first-home withdrawal, Kāinga Ora low-deposit loan, builder vs existing build trade-offs, settlement-day money flow. Print-ready.

Your fixed rate is rolling. Should you fix again, float, or split? A flowchart you can actually follow, plus the four scenarios where breaking your current fix is the right call and the two where it isn't.

How to read a KiwiSaver fact sheet without falling for the marketing. Fees, returns net of fees, asset allocation, manager track record, and the one number nobody puts on the front page that matters more than past returns.

The worksheet we use in client meetings to size life, trauma, income protection and TPD cover. Income replacement math, dependants math, mortgage-clear math. Tells you the floor and the ceiling.
Read or downloadMost household money lives in four decisions.
Over twelve years of running households through their finances, the same four conversations come up over and over. None of them are about exotic instruments. None require a finance degree. But each one, done poorly, costs a household tens of thousands of dollars across a lifetime.
So we wrote each one up. Twelve pages, six pages, ten pages, eight. Print them, dog-ear them, send them to your sister-in-law who is doing one of the four decisions wrong. Every guide is the same checklist Craig works through in a paid client meeting. The only thing missing is Craig sitting across the table from you. (That bit is also free, by the way. Fifteen minutes, no pitch, no card.)
Each guide is updated at least annually. The last review date is at the bottom of every guide.
Guides cover the map. Advice covers your situation.
A 47-line checklist is a great way to make sure you've considered every angle. It's not a great way to size a $750k mortgage or a $1.4m life cover. For that, book the 15-min.
